The Track

The Scalehectic circuit was hand built out of MDF in 2005 by three slot car racing enthusiasts. The track is painted with a coarse paint to give it natural grip. It has 6 lanes and is 150 ft long with 4 chicanes, the longest straight is just over 8 meters long. There is no metal in the track so the magnets found underneath your slot cars will not work. This makes the racing a lot faster and more exciting. Each lane is individually powered and controlled so it can be adjusted to the drivers level of skill. The circuit is connected to a computer which starts the race, counts laps and lap times.
